My 24in48 Readathon TBR

Hello all and happy nearly weekend! I am very much looking forward to this weekend for a couple reasons. Firstly, I took Friday off of work as a “just because” holiday and I’m so pleased that I did! Secondly, it is time for the 24in48 Readathon and I am happy to have reading as my main focus.

If you aren’t familiar with this readathon, I’ve linked the site above. The general premise is to aim to read for 24 hours over a 48 hour time period. Even if you don’t reach the full 24 hours, it is good to just set aside some time for reading, snacks and fun. The official timeframe is 12:01a EST Saturday through 12:00a EST Monday. They are pretty flexible to either stick with their timeframe or adjust for your local timezone. I’m in CA, so this translates to starting at 9:01p Friday night so I’ll be kicking off then!

My TBR stack is VERY subject to change… it always is, but to start with…

THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO – Alexandre Dumas
- No, I don’t plan to finish this weekend, but I do need to get some reading in for the Classics Buddy Read on Bookstagram)
PLANETFALL – by Emma Newman
- This is the July #deepdarkreads pick and I need to get started
THE NEW JIM CROW by Michelle Alexander
- I’m hoping to get started on this one for the #RevolutionaryReadingBC bookclub on bookstagram since my library hold finally came through today
THE BRIDE TEST by Helen Hoang
THE UNHONEYMOONERS by Christina Lauren
- These two are my lighter romance options which seem perfect for a summer readathon
ONE OF US IS LYING by Karen M. McManus
- This has been on my shelf for too long!
QUICKER THAN THE EYE by Ray Bradbury
- A few short stories if I need a palate cleanser or something short while deciding what to pick up next!
CRIMSON LAKE by Candice Fox
- This came in my first MyThrillClub shipment and I wanted to throw in one recent acquisition for this weekend.
