Book Review

THE SISTER-IN-LAW by Pamela Crane

I received a complimentary copy of THE SISTER-IN-LAW by Pamela Crane from William Morrow Books.

Rating: 4 / 5

THE SISTER IN LAW is told in multiple perspectives. Harper is a wife and mother, but when she comes home to find her husband dead and she turns to her beloved brother Lane for support. Candace is Lane’s new wife after a whirlwind romance, never expecting that she’d have her sister-in-law moving into their new home along with the kids. Lane finds himself torn between the two women in his life, the wife he wants to build a future with and his sister.

I very much enjoyed Pamela Crane’s LITTLE DEADLY SECRETS last year, so I was thrilled to get a copy of her latest book. With multiple secrets being held by everyone is this family relationship triangle, there is a lot going on in this story and boy is it a wild ride! From the very beginning we know that something shady has happened with Harper’s husband’s death, but the details of everything that leads up to that moment need to be uncovered. This is only one of the mysteries to be solved over the course of the book.

This isn’t a book where you can go in expecting to love all of the characters. All of them will have you second guessing along the way. Harper in particular could rub me the wrong way, and yet I was compelled to keep reading more!

I really enjoyed the mix of thriller and family drama in this one and definitely recommend it!
