Happy Monday, lovely book friends! After a four day weekend last weekend (which still felt too short), this weekend went by SO fast! I got a few errands in on Saturday but mostly lazed about with a couple much needed naps after a long short week of work. Yesterday was time with the pup and lots of good reading (including staying up too late finishing a book) – so it’s a tough Monday morning for waking up and going to work!
I have been absolutely loving the #Elderlingalong readalone of Robin Hobb’s Realm of the Elderlings series and I can’t believe it is down to just two books. The live show for this one is coming up mid month so it’s finally time to pick up the penultimate book, FOOL’S QUEST. This is a chunky one (it’s over 33 hours in the audiobook) so it’s going to be a slow and steady read for me over the week. I would love to finish it up before Summerween starts on Friday, but we’ll see. While I love these books, Robin Hobb does put her characters and her readers through the emotional wringer so I also don’t want to binge this one too fast!
Surprisingly, this is the only really active new read I have going at the moment, though I probably will pick up something else that needs a bit less focus than this one to help get me through my work day! Problem is… I have no clue what that will be yet!
I hope your week is off to a fantastic start! What are you reading today? I’d love to hear!
