GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT by Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke

Rating: 4 / 5

GIRLS NIGHT OUT by Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke follows a group of three estranged friends on a girls’ trip to Tulum, Mexico. From the very beginning the tensions running between them run high. This is meant to be a trip to inspire healing in their friendships, but there is a lot going on beneath the surface. When Ashley goes missing and neither Natalie nor Lauren have a clue where she is, they must work to go through everything that has happened since their arrival and in their past to try to find answers.

I read this one just before heading out of town with my BFF. Thankfully my trip went much, much better and no one went mysteriously missing! This made a much better read than it would a real life experience.

This book hooked me in quickly and had me wanting to know what had gone wrong in this friendship group. It was obvious that there were some serious strains on what had once been solid friendships, but the authors keep us turning pages to discover the answers. There are business woes that we learn about pretty quickly and relationship issues in the women’s wider circles, in addition to a man who they met in Mexico who leads to a lot of questions as well.

This was a fun and quick read and I’m glad that I picked up some of this author duo’s backlist after really enjoying some of their more recent releases! I definitely will be reading more from them!
