Hello friends and happy Monday! The weekend was quick, but good. It was a lot of cozy time decorating my tree and then sitting and reading by tree light with the pup. Not much else got done, but it was a good downtime kinda weekend.
December reading has been going well and I have been mostly keeping up with my advent calendar reading prompts. Today’s prompt was for a buddy read book. I decided to take it easy on myself by picking THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL by Hans Christian Andersen as my official book. This is one of our two super short reads for #ClassicsBuddyRead this month (the Audible plus version of the audio is a whole eight minutes long). So, when I say I’m taking it easy on myself, I really mean easy! I don’t plan to be #CoffeeAndCurrentlyReading this whole collection, but I might pick up a few more shorter stories to enjoy the interactive elements and illustrations.
I do have a few other buddy reads happening later in the week too, SECLUDED CABIN SLEEPS SIX by Lisa Unger for #SaturdayBookstaClub and MERRY LITTLE MEET CUTE by Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone for the Late Night Crew’s Unofficial Official book club reading sprints. So, by the end of the week I definitely will have fulfilled this prompt! Being me, I have a bunch more I could be picking up too, but I am hoping some may fit later prompts!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! What are you reading this Monday?
