SHE STARTED IT follows a group of young women participating in a Caribbean bachelorette party which does not go according to plan. This group of ladies were best friends as kids. They’ve drifted apart as adults but they can’t pass up reuniting when an old friend invites them and provides the perfect opportunity for a Caribbean vacation. Their destination is exclusive – so exclusive that they’re cut off from the rest of the world. It soon comes clear that this isn’t the relaxing vacation they all planned on.
The synopsis for this one immediately caught my eye. It is described as a mix of Agatha Christie’s AND THEN THERE WERE NONE and William Golding’s LORD OF THE FLIES combined with Instagram and Prosecco. I love a good isolated setting thriller and the vacation destination sounds perfectly geared toward a summer reading binge. I am very much looking forward to spending an afternoon reading this one on my patio with Kylee in the summer sun…perhaps with a glass of Prosecco of my own!
SHE STARTED IT just came out on June 13, 2023, so it is out just in time for summer and vacation reading!
