Happy Monday book friends! It’s my last few days of work this week before vacation and adventure await! I picked this mug today for two reasons, one because my vacation starts Thursday night… and also because I’m mostly going to be not having a Friday this week. I leave Thursday night and arrive in Thailand Saturday morning, so Friday is kinda not a thing for this week. The weekend was mostly spent packing and spending time with Kylee since I’ll have more than a week without puppy snuggles.
Today’s #CoffeeAndCurrentlyReading is a book I originally planned to read in February, but I wound up with the need for an audiobook for packing. BEASTS OF RUIN by Ayana Gray is a sequel I’ve been meaning to get to, but the recent release of the third book in the series put it back on my priority list. It took me a bit to get back into this world and remember who was who, but I’m enjoying my time with it. In my 2024 mindset of trying to finish series, I’m really hoping to read the next book BEASTS OF WAR right away! I have the audio and ebook downloaded for my vacation!
In other reading, I am flying through WHEN THE MOON HATCHED by Sarah A. Parker. This wasn’t one on my radar as a “me” type of read, but after several people raved about it and said they were hooked on it (in spite of the 700+ page count), I had to pick it up and I am glad I did! It is a hard one to put down (which is unfortunate in the sense that it is only a physical read and I need to be packing and getting ready), but it also is a quick read when I’m ready for a productivity break!
I’ve also started THE ASSASSIN’S BLADE by Sarah J. Maas which is the collection of novella prequels for the Throne of Glass series. This one I do have the audio for, so I’m one novella in and enjoying my time. I’m planning to hopefully read through the full series in 2024.
How was your weekend? I hope your week is off to a great start! Anything you’re especially looking forward to this week? I’d love to hear!
