THE DAY I LOST YOU begins with Lauren, a young woman building a new life in Spain with her baby son Sam. When police arrive at the door saying that a baby named Sam was taken from his parents in london, Lauren knows the past has come calling.

Hope and her husband are parents to a boy named Sam who has gone missing. When she finds out that a baby named Sam has been found in Spain, she begins to have hope of a brighter future, but it isn’t a straightforward case. The authorities and the women must uncover answers about Sam.

I am not particularly drawn to motherhood as a core concept in a thriller, but this is an author I have really enjoyed before so I decided to pick this one up. I am very glad that I did! The story was fun of twists, turns, and heartache.

This is one of those books when you know from the start that there won’t be a happy ending for everyone. The author does well at throwing in a lot of red herrings to keep the reader questioning. While I made a few good guesses that panned out, there were turns I didn’t see coming!

Definitely check out trigger warnings, especially with there being a baby involved and grief at the core of the story, but this is a thriller worth checking out!

THE DAY I LOST YOU is out today!
