HAVE I TOLD YOU THIS ALREADY? is a memoir told in essays, a follow up to Lauren Graham’s TALKING AS FAST AS I CAN, with all new stories and insights. Her stories touch on her early days in Hollywood, her non-acting careers when she hadn’t landed a hit show, her family relationships, her more recent times after the breakup of her relationship, and life during a pandemic among other things.
I have really enjoyed Lauren Graham’s storytelling in her previous books, so was happy to see that we were getting more from her. I loved listening to the audiobook as she narrates it herself and her humor and charm come through very well. Throughout it all she shares a lot of relatable and not relatable stories, and I found this to strike a good balance for me.
This wound up being a perfect pick for the #NonfictionBookParty prompt from @theocbookgirl: They’re Just Like Us – Celebrity Memoirs.
