Book Review

LAST GIRL GHOSTED by Lisa Unger

Rating: 4 / 5

I was part of the #SaturdayBookstaClub team hosting a buddy read for LAST GIRL GHOSTED by Lisa Unger back in October (hello, overdue book review!) and had a lot of fun with this one!

LAST GIRL GHOSTED follows Wren, a woman who hasn’t always had the easiest of lives. She thinks she’s finally found happiness when she immediately falls for a guy she met through a dating app. Is instalove a real thing? She begins to think it might be! Then it all unravels. It isn’t just a relationship gone wrong, it’s that the guy ghosts her entirely. His online presence is gone and she can’t find a trace of him anywhere.

As she tries to put back the pieces of her life before love, she learns that she isn’t the first woman this has happened to, but in other instances the women went missing. Now she’s determined to find out the why behind it all. Why did those women go missing and why didn’t she?

I really enjoyed this book. There were definitely clues that helped me figure out some of the twists, but the author did a fantastic job of keeping me wondering what exactly was going on. We slowly learn more about Wren’s past and the secrets that she’s keeping from the world and that begins to call things into question even more. I thought the author did a fantastic job of layering the elements of the plot together.

I ended the book wishing maybe for a little bit more of a twist that I didn’t expect, but this is one that kept me wanting to read more and I did really enjoy it!
